If you’ve wanted to get your hands on the Autobox demo, but you can’t quite find a dollar under the sofa, now’s your chance to get your hands on the first beta for free. In about a week, I’ll be giving fans a chance to win the Autobox demo of Prologue by
beating my Lawlolawl team at Halo. That’s right, Halo 3. Still interested? Keep reading.
Q: How do I get in on this?
A: Simply e-mail (to element19@lawlolawl.com) a list of your team members’ gamertags. Make the subject of the e-mail “Halo 3 for Autobox.” The first three teams to send in this e-mail are eligible for this giveaway.
Q: What size should my team be?
A: Teams of four members and five members are accepted. However, if you only have a team of two, for example, we’ll pair you up with another team of three. So essentially, any team under five people is accepted.
Q: Do we just have to win one game?
A: No, it’s a two-out-of-three challenge. If you win two of the three rounds, then you win.
Q: How many Autobox betas of Prologue will be given away?
A: One to every member of your team, if you win. This means that a maximum of twelve demos can be given away, and a minimum of zero (only joking, haha).
Q: When exactly do we play?
A: The first games will probably start up this weekend (July 18-19). I’ll post when no more teams are eligible, so even if it’s after the 19th, you still have a shot at sending in your team.
Q: What maps are we playing on? And with what gametypes?
A: Glad you asked!
Round 1: Slayer on The Pit
Round 2: CTF on Narrows
Round 3: MLG Slayer on Guardian (v6)
Q: Will we know all the people that won?
A: Yes. A video of each game will be uploaded to YouTube, and the in-game stats will be posted here at Lawlolawl.
Q: Are there going to be more of these challenges in the future?
A: Why yes, actually. If you weren’t able to get your hands on free stuff this time, there will always be another chance. Because Halo 3 is my (and my friends’) weapon of choice, expect to see most of the challenges on that game.

So far, we have a team of five and a team of two. There’s still space for another team, and if individual players want to join, and the smaller teams accept, then you can get in as well.
UPDATE July 18
Yesterday we faced off against our first team, and although it wasn’t a cake-walk, we managed to pull through in the end. Don’t take my word for it… check out the scores:
Round 1
With our lead at the beginning, it was apparently tough for our opponents to catch up, despite their almost doing so. The universe was angry that we didn’t have BRs, but I was saving that for the other two rounds anyway.
Round 2
The teams started out close in this round, as both had initially gotten the flag out of their opponent’s base. Thanks to NewCode12, though, our team built up some momentum, and we were able to make two more caps thereafter.
Round 3
This game started out as “hey, let’s make everyone go against Peter,” but evolved into a pretty competitive game. Kirk and I, lonely, were able to score the win, with a noticeable double kill at the end.
Cool.

i wish i had halo… and a Xbox 360… and golden shoes! that way i could beat you guys.
Yeah, no worries.. in the future I’ll do my best to come up with some more challenges that are more accessible to the rest of the community.

It’s going to be a private match, just your team and ours. We’ll coordinate with you in order to find a time that works best for your team. If you can’t play on a certain day, we’ll work around your schedule.
This competition is going to be amazing. I am stoked to see if any out of those thousands of Lawlolawl fans have that BR skill necessary to take down the Fragtastic 5. Good luck to those of you who plan on entering, and make sure that you have good coordination with your team mates. It will come in handy tremendously on these games, specifically the MLG round on Guardian.
